Where do I put my things? 

We DO NOT have lockers to store your things.  You can put what you want in your car before going out.  You can check your keys in the office and we provide baskets that stay back on the dock while you ride.  Things left out in baskets are at your own risk.  Mocean Waverunners is not responsible for personal items.  

Driving Requirements: NO EXCEPTIONS 

ALL drivers MUST  have VALID  state issued PHOTO ID

ALL drivers MUST be 16 yrs & older to drive AND show proof of age -valid PHOTO ID w/DOB (call 609-522-3159 to see what we will accept)

***MINORS(under 18 yrs of age) MUST have a co-signer w/VALID STATE ISSUED PHOTO ID, either a PARENT/GUARDIAN/RESPONSIBLE PARTY, whether the minor is going to be a DRIVER and/or PASSENGER.

ALL RESPONSIBLE PARTIES CO-SIGNING MUST BE PRESENT AT CHECK -IN WITH THEIR PROPER ID.  FAILING TO DO SO WILL FORFEIT YOUR RIDE WITHOUT REFUND.  

Can drivers and passengers take turns driving?

Yes, Passengers may switch (within the same waverunner) at anytime during their ride and drive as long as they have fulfilled the Driving Requirements.

PASSENGER REQUIREMENTS?

Passengers must be 44 inches to ride and have the ability to be properly seated BEHIND you and be able to hold on.  They CANNOT sit in front of the driver due to safety issues. The machines are fast, they do not have breaks, the seats are wide and water conditions can be rough at times.  Safety is our utmost priority here.  Mocean Waverunners reserves the right to deny passengers we feel are to small and/or would be a safety concern.  If you are uncertain if your child is big enough to be a passenger,  Please call to discuss with our staff members in advance, prior to booking.

How many people can I put on one waverunner?

They accomodate up to 3 people with a weight capacity of 430 lbs that CANNOT be exceeded.  Three adult size people can be a balancing act and is not recommended.  It could create a situation for the machine to roll and become hard to drive. We recommend a three person for adult and child combinations.  Please call for further details. 

PLEASE BE ADVISED the more weight you put on a waverunner there is a possibility it will roll and it's not much fun trying to flip it to get back on AND we want you to be safe and have fun!  Mocean Waverunners reserves the right to, at our discretion, deny double and triple rentals we feel could be unsafe.

Can I switch a few passengers off and on during my ride?

Possibly? Please call to discuss.  However, here's a guideline -You can only sign up as many people to a waverunner that it will accommodate, three people (see How many people can I put on a jetski above).  Once you get out there, it's just a flat floating dock with no seats, shade or supervision.  If it can be done, please note you can switch at the 1/2hr or 1hr mark because you will need to be docked to switch people off and on. Again please call to discuss as some situations could possibly be accommodated. 

Can you accommodate large parties?

Yes we can! 

Can you accommodate spectators?

​We can allow for spectators if space is available. We never know until the trip is about to leave.

How long is your season? 

We run from Mid May to September. Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Weekend is when we operate as usual.  Outside of that time is usually by reservation only. Please check our social media for rental update or BOOK ONLINE or call us 609-522-3159 to reserve your jetski rental Wildwood.

What is the riding area like?

We offer over 3miles of  FREESTYLE riding area in the bay where you can do your own thing!  We do not require you to drive in any set pattern or flow or circular course BUT we do require you follow the safety rules we provide and are strictly enforced.

How fast do they go?

Depends on weight, wind and water conditions.  They are not governed. The more weight and choppy water conditions won't go as fast as less weight on a WaveRunner.  However, ours have the ability to do 55mph and abovebut you can choose to go as fast or as slow as you want.  We also keep new models in our rotation.  

Do I need a Boater's License or Deposit to rent a WaveRunner at Mocean?

NO

How long can I rent them?

Here at Mocean Waverunners, we have a unique ride experience that is unlike other places - we aren't confined to a space at our dock to ride. Therefore, we refer to them as trips. You will head out from the dock to our riding area either by boat or by waverunner (depends on how we are running things)- where you will either board your waverunner out in the riding area via another docking platform or you will be showed the boundaries and set off...

Therefore, we offer two different trips: 

50min trip - 1/2 hr ride in the riding area plus your travel time to & from that riding area.

1hr 20min trip -1hr ride in the riding area plus your travel time to & from that riding area 

We like to let you know in advance, you will be gone longer then the actual ride time because we know most like to plan out their day and time.

Depending on conditions, total time out (your trip time) could be longer but will not be any extra cost to you.  

First group of the day usually rides them out. Your ride time does not start until you are in the riding area - instructions, travel time to and from, are in addition to your ride time. 

How do I know when my time is up?

Our patrol staff will advise you when your ride is up - they keep your time out there.

Can we take them anywhere?

No, state laws require you to stay within our riding area.  The reason we do not rent by the day or week.  

​When is the best time to ride?

Best time to ride is during high tide and low winds. They are optimal water conditions. Tides change every hour of every day.  We do still rent at low tide. However, it's a different kind of ride for anyone not accustomed to being out in tidal waters.  The water can get shallow,  you will have to watch for the possibility of seaweed and debris getting into your waverunner and overheating.  A sandbar becomes exposed that we mark off so you avoid.  We are very familiar with the water conditions and adjust accordingly to still provide the best riding experience possible. We cannot accommodate large groups during low tide. 

Blow out tide - means extreme lows and can happen with a new moon. If we come upon a blow out tide we will delay rentals until water conditions are deemed satisfactory again. 

If it's windy out, the waters will be rough and choppy.  The winds can feel stronger in the riding area, opposed to where our shop is back at the dock. If your concerned with water conditions, please call to discuss with one of our staff members in advance, before you book.  

What if I've never driven one before? OR What if I'm an experienced driver?

Whether it's your first time or fiftieth time riding, when you rent with Mocean Waverunners, you will be provided with in depth safety instructions and patrolled by our staff at all times.  If you have any questions during instructions or while you're on the water, please ask! We welcome questions! We want you to feel safe and confident in what you're doing.  We are always there to help!

Do I need any type of special water equipment?

The only thing mandated you wear is a life jacket- Mocean Waverunners provides all customers with USCG approved life jackets.  You are welcome to wear your own but it must be the proper size for you, USCG approved and inspected and approved by our staff.  Mocean Waverunners does not provide anything else other than the lifejacket.

What do I wear?

You may wear whatever you are comfortable in.  We don't require anything specific except a life jacket, that we provide. We prohibit anything that may scratch or damage the machines, such as flip flops with bottle openers in the soles, etc.  You may wear any type of shirts, shorts, bathing suit, etc that you are most comfortable riding in. 

We are often asked, "Will I get wet?" the answer is yes. How wet? Depends but keep that in mind when dressing to ride.  

SHOES- they are allowed but some are hard to keep on if they aren't secured to your feet. If you go out with shoes on and change your mind, there isn't anywhere to put them once you're out there. Most people go barefoot, or with water shoes or securely strapped sandals.  

SUNGLASSES- We advise if you love them, leave them- you have a 50/50 shot of losing them in the water if they are not properly secured.  

WATCHES- not required, we keep your time but you're welcome to wear one.

What can I bring out with me?

There isn't anywhere to leave anything, once you are on your way.  We don't have lockers.  We advise you lock personal belongings in your car.  We have a secure place for your keys and have baskets to leave shoes and towels back at the dock. Our staff cannot be responsible for personal belongings during your ride.  There is a compartment on the waverunner that holds things BUT it is NOT waterproof and is not very big.  If you use it, it is at your own risk.  If you forget and leave something in there, you may not get it back until the end of the day because the machines are usually rented again and our staff is patrolling and prepping for the next run. 

PHONES- are NOT allowed. They can be locked in your car during your trip.

What is the difference between a jetski and waverunner? Which kind do you have?

There really isn't a difference.

Jet Skis and WaveRunners are both types of personal watercraft(PWC), with Jet Skis manufactured by the Kawasaki Motors Corporation and WaveRunners made by the Yamaha Motor Corporation. Together with Ski-Doo, which is manufactured by Bombadier Recreational Products, they represent the vast majority of personal watercraft. Many people use the trademarked terms "Jet Ski," "WaveRunner" and "Ski-Doo" interchangeably even when technically referring to a watercraft of a different brand.

We use Yamaha products therefore, we rent WaveRunners by trademark.

MOCEAN WAVERUNNERS HAS A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY TOWARDS ANY UNSAFE BEHAVIORS WHILE RENTING OUR VESSELS AND RESERVES THE RIGHT, AT OUR DISCRETION, TO DENY THE RENTAL OF A WAVERUNNER OR TERMINATE A RIDE EARLY, WITHOUT WARNING AND WITHOUT REFUND.
